Vaccinations

While we endeavour to send equine vaccination reminders by text or email, we cannot guarantee their successful delivery to you. Please be aware that it remains the owner’s responsibility to keep their horse’s vaccinations up-to-date. If a vaccination is missed, your vaccination programme may need to be restarted.

Equine Influenza alert

Cases of influenza have been identified in France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, and the UK. As many of you are aware, there are plenty of horse and pony movements between the UK and Ireland. The risk of infection is increasing, and the Animal Health Trust advise an additional 6-month booster for competition/hunting/racing equines to limit the risk of spread.

The extra 6-month booster can be booked on a zone visit,  Nasopharyngeal swabs early in the disease are the most reliable method of diagnosis. For more information please go to the Animal Health Trust website.
