About us

MBG has been established for over 60 years, and is proud to be one of the few independently-owned practices still operating in Worcestershire. We have a long history in providing the very best in veterinary care; aiming to provide fairly-priced services without unnecessary upselling and sales targets.

The equine team work mainly as ambulatory veterinary surgeons, visiting many premises each day. We also have facilities for day cases at our own RCVS approved clinic. All of our equipment is portable allowing detailed investigations to be performed at home. These include ultrasonography, radiography, and endoscopy. All members of the team undergo additional training in their areas of interest- these include lameness, back pain, acupuncture, and dentistry. Artificial insemination, using fresh chilled semen, is also available.

We are committed to improving the health and welfare of all horses, ponies, and donkeys under our care. Preventative health programmes are available for yards –we have the first two Strangles accredited livery yards in England, having taken the lead following an extended outbreak of the disease. Zone visits are offered to encourage preventative vaccinations and worming programmes designed on an annual basis.
