Our team of dedicated vets and support staff strive to provide the best quality service at all times.

We are acutely aware of the difficulties surrounding arrangements at the end of life. Unfortunately when an unexpected illness or accident occurs, it can be overwhelming – so it is useful to know we can arrange everything for you.

Most horses, ponies and donkeys are euthanased by injection, and are often sedated beforehand. You do not have to be present for the ‘final’ injection if you do not want to be, but it is reassuring to the animal if you are present at sedation.

The alternative method is by bullet. This can be done by select vets or trained individuals with an appropriate firearms licence. Sedation can be used beforehand if the horse is anxious.

Collection Services and Options

We are able to arrange removal of the body by licenced equine collection services. The options after collection are as follows:

  1. General cremation – no ashes returned
  2. Individual cremation – ashes returned in a wooden casket engraved as requested.
