We have several veterinary surgeons able to assist with the export of farm animals, horses and products.

There are many different types of export and each requires careful consideration before applying to the APHA Centre for International Trade, based in Carlisle.

There is often a requirement for blood sampling within 30 days of the export date to screen for infectious diseases. It must be remembered that laboratory tests can take up to 21 days to be completed so establishment of an accurate timeline is essential.

We need to scrutinise three documents as a minimum as soon as an export application has been made:

  1. Export Certificate from UK APHA.
  2. Import Certificate from destination country. There may be additional requirements and forms depending on the country.
  3. Notes for Guidance – official documentation from the APHA.

Please speak to one of our export certifying vets to discuss your requirements as soon as you decide on your journey and destination. Further useful information can be found here.
