Dental disease is one of the most common illnesses in pets, and also one of the most overlooked.
At our Worcester and Webbs branches we offer dental x-rays to help diagnose these hidden diseases, which can contribute to premature ageing and the onset of other illnesses as our pets grow older.
KEY FACTS
- The majority of pets over the age of 6 years will have gingivitis which often leads to peridontal disease (hidden below the gums).
- Tooth fractures usually result in endodontal disease or tooth-root abscesses forming.
- 7 out of 10 cats are prone to a very painful condition called “tooth resorption”.
