Endoscopes are long flexible fibre optic tubes that can be used to look inside the upper digestive and respiratory tract of your pet. They enable us to visualise the throat, larynx, bronchi and oesophagus (food pipe), stomach and upper intestine and can also be used to take fluid samples and even small biopsies.

They can be helpful when investigating conditions in your pet such as vomiting, suspected stomach ulcers, abnormal tissue masses and possible foreign bodies, for example socks, bones, toys that may have got stuck. In addition endoscopy can aid the investigation of upper airway problems.
