We have a qualified ophthalmologist who consults at the Droitwich surgery every Thursday. We see animals with eye problems all the time, very often these conditions can be treated by our small animal team, however on occasion they do need the knowledge and equipment used by an ophthalmologist.

Jeremy qualified from the University of Bristol in 1997. He has always found Ophthalmology to be a fascinating discipline and in his early years in general practice, he found himself being drawn to the subject more and more.

In 2005 he was awarded the Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.  He has been Seeing Eye cases referred by other Vets since 2005.

In February 2007, he set up Veterinary Eye Referrals in order to deliver a high quality medical and surgical eye care service for pets.

Facilities include slit lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmology, applanation tonometry, gonioscopy, ocular ultrasonography, microsurgery, ophthalmic photography (including fundus photography) as well as the usual diagnostic stains and tear tests.
