Cardiology

We offer a visiting cardiology referral service in partnership with Dr Mark Patteson of VetCardiologist.

We are able to investigate symptoms associated with cardiac disease, offering advanced echocardiography and digital ECG recorders to assess heart rate and rhythm in both the clinic and at home.

Other services include Murmur investigations, Collapse investigations, thoracic radiology and bronchoscopy, Cardiac Interventional procedures and surgery, and Equine investigations.

Referrals

Dr. Mark Patteson is based at our Droitwich branch for one day every fortnight. He is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Cardiology and director of VetCardiologist Ltd. Mark holds the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology as well as the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Radiology. He regularly lectures to both undergraduates and vets and has published widely on the subjects of both small animal and equine cardiology.

Mark previously led HeartVets and the cardiology department at Vale Referrals, in a busy first opinion and multidisciplinary referral hospital environment.
