Did you know that skin disease is the second most common reason for dogs attending the vets and the third most common reason in cats?

Skin disease can be extremely distressing for both pets and owners. Owners can become frustrated by their pets continued suffering as, sadly, there is no easy or quick fix to treating and managing skin disease.

However, the dedicated team at MBG (led by Sarah Haycock, a GP Certificate holder in Small Animal Dermatology) are here to help!

By working alongside you and taking into account your requirements, your pets and any financial considerations, we can formulate a diagnostic plan, offering microscopic assessment of skin samples, bacterial and fungal cultures, blood tests, food trials and even, if necessary, skin biopsies to determine the underlying cause of your pet’s skin complaint.

From there we can discuss the different treatment options that suit both you and your pet, deciding on a treatment plan that helps to relieve your pet’s distress and restore their quality of life. Whilst cure might not be possible, we aim to work with you to manage your pet’s skin condition such that they can live a happy, itch free life!
