We are proud to offer a wide range of procedures for your pets, including innovative keyhole, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. For more information on these procedures, please choose one of the options below.

We recommend that you ask for an approximate cost of treatment when you book your pet in for a procedure. If your pet is insured, please advise a member of staff on admission. It is also advisable to phone your insurance company in advance and request a claim form, which you can then bring in with you when you leave your pet with us for the day.

We aim to offer as many services as possible under one roof, in a practice with which your pets are familiar, by the veterinary team they know and trust, rather than having to travel further afield for treatment, often at great expense.

Pre Anaesthetic blood testing

We are able to offer pre-anaesthetic blood screening for liver and kidney function to all patients prior to surgery. The liver and kidneys are responsible for removing anaesthetic drugs from the body following surgery. If abnormalities were to be found in the results of the blood test, we may decide to adjust the dosage or type of anaesthetic used, or if necessary delay surgery.

The veterinary surgeon may have discussed this with you if your animal is elderly or screening is felt to be particularly appropriate. However, routine screening of all pets allows us to proceed with confidence or to pick up very early signs of illness. Please indicate to the veterinary nurse on admission whether or not you would like your pet to have this test.

Whilst your pet is sedated/anaesthetised, why not take advantage of our discounted rate for an identichip? Please enquire at reception if you would like this procedure done and the current cost.

Pre-op guidance

Do not give your pet anything to eat after 7.00pm the night before he/she is due to come in for their procedure. Leave water available overnight and remove first thing in the morning. Do NOT starve rabbits and rodents.

Please bring your pet to the surgery between 8.30am – 9.00am on the morning of the appointment. You will be asked to leave contact telephone numbers in case we need to make contact with you during the day. Please telephone the surgery between 1.00pm – 1.30pm that afternoon to find out when your pet will be ready to go home. This is usually between 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
