Several of our veterinary surgeons undertake routine orthopaedic procedures on a regular basis, employing the most up to date anesthesia and radiographic techniques. These include such procedures as fracture repair by intramedullary pinning, plating or external fixators, joint surgery, arthrodesis or ligament repair.

We aim to offer as many services as possible under one roof, in a practice with which your pets are familiar, by the veterinary team they know and trust, rather than having to travel further afield for treatment.

Steven Odell holds a General Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. This is the culmination of two years of additional studies, practical assessments, written coursework, and examinations.

Steven now has the confidence to offer clients the option of having more advanced surgery performed locally rather than travel to referral centres some distance away. While it is important to stress that referral centres can offer the highest levels of specialism and expertise, Steven feels that it is important to be able to offer clients the option of a locally based service.  He is also pleased to be able to offer a fixed price option for some routinely performed surgeries, which may be of particular benefit to clients who do not have pet insurance.

Steven is more than happy to discuss the procedures he is willing and able to perform, and the fixed price scheme that we can offer.  However, for pet owners who are not yet clients of MBG please be aware that any referral must be directed via the primary veterinary surgeon, with whom Steven must work to provide comprehensive care.
